SUBJ: Request for documents relative to hiring of Special Sheriff

Please find attached a copy of the job description for Special Sheriff, Barnstable County. The Sheriff's Office is denying the remainder of your request under Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 4, Section 27 (c) and (f). You may appeal this denial to the Supervisor of Public Records in the Secretary of State's Office. Please note that a newspaper made the same request several years ago and the Supervisor of Public Records determined that everything but the job description were personnel and thus not public records.
