Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Please provide the annual compensation provided to Thomas Zacharia (a resident of Tennessee) by your organization from 2000 to 2022. This compensation should include all of the sources of compensation including salary, benefits, pension, gifts, grants, and subcontracts that flow to him personally or to him through one of his companies.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

The Office of Institute Communications of the Georgia Institute of Technology acknowledges your request, dated April 6, 2022, appearing below. Please be advised that the Institute no longer has Mr. Zacharia's file. Mr. Zacharia was terminated in 2009, and the Institute is only required to retain records for seven years. Mr. Zacharia's salary was $44,000 at .2 FTE from 3/1/06-2/1/09. My office has reached out to HR to see if they can check payroll records to see if there are any records of extra compensation or reimbursements that were paid through payroll. As soon as we receive a response from HR, we will be sure to let you know.
