Crowdfund Request: Uxbridge Peacock Incidents

Share Embed Help

I grew up in the small town of Uxbridge, MA, where there were at least two separate incidents of peacocks on the loose from the zoo or someone’s farm. The stories of those were the talk of the town when they happened, but now that I’m out in the world away from Uxbridge I want everyone else to know the story of these peacocks in a way no one can refute. So I did what any good citizen would do and filed a public records request with the town police department for any emails about these feathered friends.

Unfortunately, being such a small town means the good people of Uxbridge are charging me $115 to produce and send me these peacock emails I’m requesting from the police department. And further still, being a college student means that on my own I cannot afford to spend my own money in the pursuit of peacock justice, as much as I would love to. That’s where you come in. I’m seeking help from my friends and family on this journey, and even though it might sound like a lofty goal, every little bit helps. Even if only a small portion of the total charge is raised through this project, I would be incredibly grateful for your help in helping me tell the story of two feisty little peacocks with a dream.
