Thank you for contacting the Georgia Department of Law, Office of the Attorney General. We are responding to the Open Records Request below received in our office on June 19th.

Today, June 23rd, is the third business day following your request. Monday, June 19th was a state holiday.

We have queried our system in search of records responsive to this request and have located potentially responsive documents. Fees associated with this request are based on the time it takes to complete the request which includes, but is not limited to, the initial scan of the universe of documents, eliminating unrelated documents, excluding information exempt by the Open Records Act, and combining documents into an electronic format suitable for delivery.

The fee calculation is based on the time and experience level of the administrative staff and attorneys doing the work. We will always opt for the lowest experience level required to adequately perform the work when fulfilling requests. We estimate it will cost $106.12 to fulfill this request. Please be advised that this is an estimate, and as such, it may fall outside the range of costs.

We will wait to hear back from you, confirming if the fee and terms are acceptable and that you would like to proceed before we continue your request.

We expect to provide the requested records three weeks from the acceptance of the terms. Delivery will be by the Department’s secure file-sharing system called Kiteworks, using your email of record.

All the best,

From: Steve Horn

We have completed the Open Records Request below. We compiled the documents into a single PDF file. We are sharing them with you via our secure file-sharing system called Kiteworks. You should have received an email with instructions for accessing the file.

When we identified an email chain, we printed the most recent exchange containing previous emails rather than providing redundant copies of the same email and attachment(s).
Not included in the file are documents that are exempt from release under the confidential attorney work-product privilege pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(42).

We also omitted records containing information that would disclose an electronic signature according to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72 (a)(42).

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(c)(1), cost associated with this request totaled $30.45, which is based on 1 hour of administrative time at $20 per hour; 10 minutes of attorney management time at $61.50 per hour.

Please mail a check or money order in the amount of $30.45 payable to the Georgia Department of Law with Matter # 1206114 referenced.
