Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
1) The name of any vendors or manufacturers that your department purchases license plate reader technology from. This may include but is not limited to cameras, software, or other technology to support automated reading of license plates in the areas your department serves.
2) The name of any vendors that your department partners with to install or perform maintenance on license plate reading technology (e.g., cameras and other software). These partners may also be known as integrators.
3) Where available, the contracts or purchase agreements with the vendors or parties included in the above two bullets.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

This office is in receipt of your Freedom of Information Request for "...License plate reader technology...vendors...contacts...purchase agreements...". The City of Warren processes all Freedom of Information Requests under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 442 of 1976, MCL 15.231 - MCL 15.246.
Please provide your current address and contact information so that your request can be processed in compliance with MCL 15.231 (2), 15.232 Sec 2 (g), and 15.233 Sec 3 (1).

As a result of this response you may do the following:
- Appeal the denial to the head of the public body pursuant to Section 10 of the Act. Appeals must be in writing, must specifically state the word "appeal", and must identify the reason or reasons for reversal of this denial. Written appeals shall be submitted to the FOIA Appeals Committee c/o City Council Office, 5460 Arden, Warren MI 48092
- Seek judicial review of the denial under Section 10 of the Act
You have the right to receive attorneys fees and damages as provided in Section 10 if, after judicial review, the circuit court determines that the public body has not complied with Section 5 of the Act and orders disclosure or all or a portion of a public record.
