To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

An unredacted copy of the Procurement Management Staff, OL Weekly Report for the Week Ending 19 January 1988. A redacted copy of this document was added to CREST with the document number CIA-RDP90-00078R000100010038-7. This copy, which was declassified in part in 2013, has numerous redactions which are marked 25X1. This exemption code for declassification is reserved for information which would "reveal the identity of a confidential human source, a human intelligence source, a relationship with an intelligence or security service of a foreign government or international organization, or a non-human intelligence source; or impair the effectiveness of an intelligence method currently in use, available for use, or under development." None of this applies to any portion of the document that I am requesting.

I also request that processing notes be provided for this request.

I am a member of the news media and request classification as such. I have previously written about the Agency for AND Magazine, MuckRock and Glomar Disclosure. My articles have been widely read, with some reaching over 100,000 readers. As such, as I have a reasonable expectation of publication and my editorial and writing skills are well established

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Michael Best
