To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

A copy of any e-mails, letters, faxes and other written electronic or print communications between Google, Inc., its representatives (including legal counsel and outside public relations firms) and the FCC regarding the FCC's Street View investigation. The closing report of this investigation was posted here:

http://transition.fcc.gov/DA-12-592A1.pdf

Please focus this request on members of the FCC who might reasonably be believed to have participated in this or coordinated this investigation, beginning the search with e-mails and other records dating back to November 2010 and through the date that this request is received for processing.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Michael Morisy

From: Gary Schonman <Gary.Schonman@fcc.gov>

Dear Mr. Morisy,

This is a follow-up to our telephone conversation earlier today in which my colleague, William Knowles-Kellett, and I discussed with you the scope of your two Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") requests referenced above.

FOIA No. 2012-304: In this request, you sought an unredacted copy of the Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture, released April 13, 2012, in the matter of Google Inc. ("NAL"). You indicated during our telephone conversation that you are now in possession of a copy of the NAL with limited redactions. Consequently, you have informed this office that the NAL with limited redactions satisfies your request and you wish to withdraw FOIA No. 2012-304. Please be advised that your request to withdraw FOIA No. 2012-304 is hereby granted, and FOIA No. 2012-304 is closed.

FOIA No. 2012-305: You indicated that you wish to modify FOIA No. 2012-305 by limiting the records you are seeking to substantive e-mails, letters, faxes, and other written or print communications from Google Inc and its representatives (including legal counsel and outside public relations firms) to the FCC regarding the FCC's Street View investigation.

Please confirm that this modification of FOIA No. 2012-305 reflects your understanding of our conversation. Thank you.

From: Michael Morisy

Hi Gary,

I really appreciate your help clarifying these requests.

Best,

Michael
