Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all materials, including the contract of sale, related to the sale of the Wu-Tang Clan album “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin," which was ordered to be forfeited as a substitute asset in connection with the approximately $7.4 million forfeiture money judgment entered against Martin Shkreli.
According to a Justice Department press release, the sale was handled by Assistant United States Attorneys Laura D. Mantell and Claire S. Kedeshian of the Asset Recovery Section in the Office’s Criminal Division: https://www.justice.gov/usao-edny/pr/united-states-sells-unique-wu-tang-clan-album-forfeited-convicted-hedge-fund-manager
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
