Hello,

Thank you for your California Public Records Act (CPRA) Request. This email is in response to your CPRA request received on January 7, 2019, requesting a copy of the catalog of enterprise systems and databases compiled by LADWP to comply with 2015's Senate Bill 272, as detailed in the request, to be provided in electronic format on CD.

The LADWP is the largest municipal utility in the United States and serves over four million residents covering a service territory in excess of 465 square miles, with operations across the Western United States. The LADWP headquarters are located at 111 N. Hope Street in Downtown Los Angeles. The LADWP also owns and operates 161 field facilities.

Due to the high volume of CPRA requests submitted to the LADWP and the possible need to search for and collect records from field facilities or other establishments that are separate from this office, the LADWP will require an additional fourteen-day extension. The LADWP is cognizant of its responsibilities under the CPRA and recognizes that the statutory scheme was enacted to maximize citizen access to the workings of government. However, the LADWP will need a reasonable opportunity to search for, collect, review, and possibly redact exempt information prior to the records being disclosed in an inspection. Please see California Government Code Section 6253(c).

The LADWP expects to make a determination on your request by January 31, 2019.

If/when the records become available, you will be able to contact the LADWP CPRA Clearinghouse to schedule a viewing of your records. During the review session, you may indicate which, if any, records you wish to have duplicated. In accordance with the Los Angeles Administrative Code, the fee for this duplication service is 10 cents per page for standard 8.5 x 11-inch or 8.5 x 14-inch white paper with black ink. Duplication of non-standard items may require additional times. You can arrange for delivery of these non-standard items at the time your duplication request is placed. Payment, which is due at the time of the duplication request, may be in cash or check made payable to the LADWP. There is no fee if you wish only to view the documents.
