Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:

All Chicago complaints for search warrants
All Chicago search warrants
All documents that show judge approvals for each search warrant
CLEAR records that reference any of the above records.

Please limit the scope of this request to August 24.

This request is designed to create a snapshot of how search warrants are currently being processed by Chicago and will be used as the foundation for future research. As such, the public's interest far outweighs the burden on your agency. That said, I am happy to narrow the request further if absolutely needed - please just let me know if there's any way to reduce any burden!

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
