This was a quiet week as we continued to test and refine a new request composing tool. While it’s not quite ready to roll out publicly yet, but we’re still looking for more feedback.
MuckRock Release Notes: Filter requests by file type to find interesting databases released through FOIA
Our newest request filter makes it easier than ever to find interesting databases released as part of a public records request. Find a clever request? With the clone feature, you’re just a click away from refiling inspiring requests to free up even more public data.
MuckRock’s request tool last had a major overhaul in 2014. It was a huge step forward, making the process mobile friendly, dropping from roughly six steps to just two, and letting users build off each other’s work with the clone feature. We’re in the middle of rethinking the request composer again, and we’d love your help testing it.
