When do or don't I ask the FBI for the records of more than one person in the same file?

Last night, I was watching Masters of Sex on Showtime and realized that, at least as far as I know, there’s no FBI file in the wild for the real William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Given the era, you’d think that they were investigated, so I figured I should do a FOIA…but I don’t know if I should do one for Masters and Johnson or separate ones for each of them. Given the circumstances, I’m guessing I should just do one FOIA, but I wanted to make sure.
Also, does it vary at all by the agency?
Thanks!
