Requesting emails within schools

Are you able to request email correspondence between schools? What about between records of emails between school and other agencies if it is specific to yourself or minor child,?

There are 50+ different laws regarding public records in the US. Probably closer to 100, to be honest. You didn’t mention which one you’re talking about, so nobody can say for sure yes or no. Generally, however, schools are not exempt from public records requests.

Typically yes, you can request emails from a school, as long as those emails don’t run afoul of FERPA and aren’t covered by another exemption.
