I would like to appeal this but do not know how. I should have asked for the year of 2017, not the fiscal year, but either way I really don’t care how much money was spent on purchasing, repairing, renting, or upgrading vehicles.

I did not ask for VIN numbers, license plates, or any identifying information regarding these vehicles. I simply want a list of the vehicles the department owns.

They cite my request as a threat to the safety of officers, however many of their vehicles are fully marked with reflective graphics, so it makes no sense to deny me a piece of paper giving me information about such vehicles.

All I want is a list of the year/ make/ model of their vehicles.

You should definitely appeal, the denial doesn’t make sense.
