Hi guys! I’m looking to do a story on how police departments around the country respond when Anonymous decides to do an “op” on them. As such, I asked the Vineland police department for their correspondence on this.

They’ve rejected my FOIA request because it doesn’t specify email senders or recipients. Any advice how to try again? I’m guessing I should ask for any internal memos about the subject, because I can’t really think how to request every single sender and every single recipient in the department.

I took a look at previous requests for emails from the Vineland PD on Muckrock and they’ve completed a few with a large list of senders/recipients. You might be able to narrow your request down to all detectives, or all detectives involved in cybercrime investigations.
