Mexican Military Personnel trained US
John Dyer sent this request to the Department of Defense, Freedom of Information Policy Office of the United States of America
Regarding, this request, DoD has denied the waiver fees. The argument goes that revealing information on military cooperation with Mexico would not be in the public interest, even though there’s been several news articles regarding this issue for a long time and it’s crucial to know what countries are being benefited with military cooperation from US forces. Is there any way to appeal this decision to deny the waiver of fees?
Yes, you may ask for appeal rights to appeal the denial of fees by sending a “Follow Up” to the agency.
More information on fee waiver appeals is available at FOIAdvocates.
