Accounting of resources used for Obama visit to Utah

I was told by our local police department to request this info from the Secret Service. I don’t think it’s overly broad. I just want to know numbers: How many, how much? So how should I phrase it?

I agree that your request doesn’t seem overly broad, but agencies really like to think very narrowly in terms of requests. I’m not sure what kinds of budget documents the Secret Service creates in advance of trips, but maybe specifying “any draft budgets or expense reports generated by the Secret Service between Jan X, XXXX and March X, XXX filed in conjunction with President Obama’s trip to Utah.” would help satisfy.
