How do you open the full plain English text stenographic record of the Public Meetings of Boston City Council for hard of hearing folks?… the released .SGSTN stenograph stenonote format document isn’t plain English.

That’s certainly not a file format I’ve ever seen before – anyone know of an easy way to convert this type of file to plaintext?

The official program to open them is http://www.stenograph.com/software/case-catalyst/ but it is very expensive. I’d recommend using https://www.stenovations.com/digitalcat/ and the coversion program from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARA62Pvpg-U as digitalCAT has a 90 day free trial.
