Hi all – I’m directly FOIA’ing some public employees for work emails they sent or received through their home account. Our lawyer has prepared a very technical letter spelling out the rules (Louisiana). The thing is – I think these employees are going to freak the frak out. Does anyone have a user-friendly “here’s how you respond to a FOIA request” letter?

I doubt any public sector employee will freak out about a public records request. I also doubt they’d read a letter you sent them on how to respond to it. Don’t worry about the response.
