FOIA request for Federal Grand Jury proceeding referenced in another FOIA

In the copy of a FOIA request fulfillment from the BIA, a Federal Grand Jury procceding was referenced. I understand that requesting a transcript of this proceedings into criminal activity into the death of a little girl is very protected for the individual in question. Is it possible to FOIA the Dept. of Justice for this information if it is family making the request?
