Algorithmic Governments

Discovering government uses of artificial intelligence and their social justice impacts

We seek public records concerning governments uses of artificial intelligence, including machine learning and predictive analytics. We evaluate the social impacts of those uses, including as to bias, AI-mediated discrimination, and government transparency and accountability, and explore the law as applied to these systems and uses.

This work is carried out by Professor Emile Loza de Siles and law students in her Artificial Intelligence and Social Justice course at Duquesne University School of Law.
