Cooking with FOIA is a new series looking at recipes uncovered via the public records process. We’re starting things off with a back to school special - UConn’s now-infamous bacon jalapeño macaroni and cheese, obtained by Gawker reporter and MuckRock user JK Trotter.

As for why it’s so infamous, we look back to this viral video from last year, accurately entitled “Drunk Kid Wants Mac and Cheese” (Audio NSFW):

The same day that video started to make the rounds, Trotter filed with the UConn dining hall for the recipe. Less than a day later, they delivered - now that’s service!
