City Hall has finally found some of their emails with the Boston 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee. And while those emails come with a pretty hefty price tag, with your help, they’ve already been halfway funded.

Last Friday, MuckRock opened NoBoston2024’s Jonathan Cohn’s requests for Olypics emails from Daniel Koh, Doug Rubin, and Joseph Rull to crowdfunding. Within hours, the Rubin request was already fully funded …

UPDATED: Rull is completed funded as well!

And Koh’s not doing too bad himself.

As Jonathan Cohn puts it: “Hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics would have a significant - and, as history shows us, negative - impact on the planning and future direction of our city. It is vital for Bostonians to be able to know how the decisions around the bid are being made.”

If you want to get involved, you can contribute directly via the fields above, on the request pages.

We can’t thank enough everybody who already contributed, and are overwhelmed by your support for transparency surrounding this topic. We’ve already sent out the check for the Rubin emails, and will keep you updated as the situation develops.
