Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Staff roster including but not limited to first and last names, job titles, areas of assignment, and badge, serial, and other identifying numbers. In order of preference, I would prefer that this data be provided as: plain text with comma-separated-values (i.e., a "CSV" file), OpenDocument spreadsheet, Excel spreadsheet, or the native electronic format of the software from which this information is retrieved in fulfillment of my request. I specifically request that you not create a new record for me by rendering to PDF or by printing your electronic record then scanning it to make a series of images of the printed data.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for clarifying. The custom report has been requested. Recent changes in staffing and technology have created a backlog of requests resulting in increased response times. Demand is particularly high for email searches, YPD dashcam video and YPD Spillman incident reports. Increased time is required to process these records. Some other records series are also impacted.

Pursuant to RCW 42.56.520, additional time is necessary to clarify the request and/or gather and review records, to determine whether any of the information requested is exempt from disclosure, and to provide third parties with notice and the opportunity to seek a court order to prevent the release of record(s) in response to your request.
