Upon reviewing the document I am finding numbers that do not match up with what other documents that I have for salaries. There are some hourly rates that are slightly to significantly higher than what the employees are currently receiving. Can you check the information to ensure it's accuracy or provide clarity on why the hourly rates do not match up?
From: Wyoming Department of Administration and Information
Casey,
Can you give me examples of who you are finding that do not match up?
Thanks
Stacy

I noticed that ranges for the COPR05, COPR06, and COPR08 hourly rates that are lower than they should be for some staff and higher for others. Almost half of the Corporals have a pay rate above $22 which isn't accurate seeing as how they are newly promoted and wouldn't have received a pay raise since their promotion. Some of the Officers that have almost 20 years of service (if not more) are listed lower than newer staff. There are also Sergeants that have almost 20 years of service that are paid more than Sergeants with less than 10 years, according to the document.
I'm pretty sure this continues through the COPR09 and COPR11 but I stopped looking since I don't know how far the errors continue. I could break this down further further if you need it but this should give you a good baseline for comparison.
From: Wyoming Department of Administration and Information
Hi Casey
Looks like what happened with some of the salaries is that the report from
the database did not take into account when some of the individuals are on
the 8 day cards (173.3333 hours compared to 186.30208 hours). I went back
in to the COPR05,06,08 and 09 and went through them to make sure that any
who had an hourly rate that was off was re calculated based off of what
type of card they are on (salary or 8 day). The COPR11's should not be a
problem because they are salary and automatically calculated at 173.3333
hours per month.
Attached is a new copy for you. Let me know if you see anything else and I
will be glad to help!
Thank you!
Stacy

I reviewed the document and the issue is still there. Some corporals are still shown at $22.57 and higher. I did not review past this as I'm sure this is still the case with other groups. Can you review and get back with me?

There has recently been a pay adjustment that brought staff "As close to the 2017 pay table as possible" plus a 2.5% wage increase. Is it possible to get an updated list of employee salaries that reflect these changes?
Thank you for your time and consideration into this.

Thank you for the update, I understand the work that goes into this can be extensive and cumbersome considering all of the information that needs to be gathered and disseminated. I appreciate your assistance with this information.
From: Wyoming Department of Administration and Information
Casey,
Attached is your public records request for employees with classification
and salaries as of July 1, 2019.
In this report I left the base pay parameter column on as this reflects the
most accurate salary. This is the actual salary amount that we see in the
payroll system when we look an employee up. If the amount is listed as an
hourly rate the employee is paid hourly and if it is listed as a monthly
salary amount the employee is paid as salary. This will help in the
category of the 8 day cards that you look at for Corrections.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!

Muckrock Public Records Request-Salaries effective July 1, 2019
From: Casey Mruzek
I appreciate that you tailored this towards what I was looking for, however I am not sure who all is on a 49 hour (8 day cycle) or a 40 hour (standard cycle). Can you provide a breakdown with the hourly rate instead? I apologize for making this more difficult as I'm sure you are busy.
From: Wyoming Department of Administration and Information
Hi Casey
Attached is a list of all of the COPR classifications. These are the only
in the state that utilize the 8 day schedule. I have left their salaries
on and then added a column so you are able to see who is on an 8 day
schedule vs. regular.
This was much less time consuming than sorting the whole State workforce
again.
Thank you
Stacy
