To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Wisconsin's Open Records act, I hereby request the following records:
Any communications, memos and emails from January 1, 2013 to the date that this request is processed between the members of the Joint Committee on Finance concerning the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism or its staff: Andy Hall, Deborah Blum, Bill Lueders, Kate Golden, Christa Westerberg, Gail Kohl, Dee J. Hall, Lauren Fuhrmann, Mario Koran, Kate Prengaman, Tegan Wendland, Rory Linnane.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
In response to your open records request on June 6, 2013 we searched our records for any correspondence referring to the topics and names you mentioned. We did receive an email and phone call from Tegan Wendland today with questions on a budget matter unrelated to the budget motion on the WCIJ. I have attached a pdf of that email. Our search turned up no additional correspondence pertaining to your request.
Also, multiple WisPolitics daily update/news emails that are still in our email refer to the WCIJ issues in the news. These are update emails that are sent out to thousands of subscribers on a daily basis. If you would like a copy of those let me know. Thank you.
