I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on July 31, 2012. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry for the delay, but the faculty involved were not here when the original request came in as they are off in the summer. Now, they are heavily involved with the start of the new academic year. It will be a while before I can meet with them to see if they have any documents that are responsive to your request. I cannot give you a definite time when you will receive a response. I suspect sometime this fall.

Shawn,

As the public records officer you request for documents has been forwarded to me. Since we do not engage in any of this type of activity we do not have any documents that are responsive to your request.

If the University was doing research on Drones, UAV's etc. these documents would be exempted under IC 5-14-3-4 (a)(6) which does not allow for the disclosure of "information concerning research, including actual research documents, conducted under the auspices of a state educational institution, including information concerning any negotiations made with respect to the research; and received from another party involved in the research."

Sincerely,
Lucia Anderson
