- The total number of people detained and/or arrested by the Watertown police department as a result of the pursuit of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on April 18-19, 2013 (for context: http://www.bostonglobe.com/magazine/2014/03/28/how-marathon-bombing-manhunt-really-happened/Fyv99o2D4WqT9my9BAYZDJ/story.html).

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Hi there,

Thank you for these documents. I notice that the statement "portions of this report have been redacted" is included at the end of each arrest report. However, I do not see any redactions in the reports. Are there entire sections deleted from these reports?

Sincerely,
Evan

From: Gonzalez, Catalina

Good Afternoon,

I am responding to the email/fax which I received on August 24, 2015, regarding the statement that "portions of this report have been redacted". The redaction statement at the end of the reports is a standard statement which appears on any/all reports when any portion of a report has been redacted. In this instance, clearly you can see that the redacted information is signified by the asterisks (redactions) that are located on the police reports. There are no additional reports or supplementary documents that the redaction applies to.

If you have any questions, please feel free contact me.

Thank you.

Catalina Gonzalez
