To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
This is a request for a list of personalized license plate messages on the "do not issue list" (messages that violate laws or administrative rules). A partial list of these messages was provided in response to this request: https://www.muckrock.com/foi/washington-54/rejected-personalized-aka-vanity-license-plates-in-2013-washington-11661/ (see attachment at bottom of page). I am interested in a comprehensive and up to date version of this list through the date of this request (December 8, 2016).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Good morning Mr. Glassford,
Thank you for your recent request for records, as seen in the email below.
We have begun researching your request and anticipate having records or an update for you on or before 1/3/17.
To assist in our research, it would be helpful if you could specify the time period you are interested in. The previous request referenced in your email was dated 2014. Are you looking for similar information about rejected license plates from 2014 through December 8, 2016?
If we do not hear otherwise from you, that is how we will proceed with our research.
