Dear M. Dante:
This email is a follow-up to your email dated May 30, 2018, regarding your public records request, PRU-52567. You requested the following records.
1. Aggregate data during the timeframe of 2012 through 2017 for the number of incarcerations for the following crimes: prostitution, pimping, forced slavery, sex trafficking, human trafficking and related offenses.
There is a recent law change regarding vacating sentences related to prostitution when a person committed those crimes due to being the victim of trafficking. The attached list is individuals convicted of promoting prostitution/sex trafficking/commercial sexual abuse related crimes, not individuals who may have been sentenced to other crimes due to being a victim of one of these crimes. We do not have a way of identifying people in the latter category. If you would like me to direct you to where the law is updated on the website please let me know.
Attached are 17 pages identified as responsive to your request. These records are provided to you in accordance with the Public Records Act. By making agency documents available to you, the Department is not responsible for your use of the information or for any claims or liabilities that may result from your use or further dissemination.
The file for PRU-52567 is now closed. However, if you should have any questions related to this request, you may contact me at the address below.
