Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All records, documents, and internal communications pertaining to the site known publicly as the "North Fork Gravel Pit" off of the North Fork Road in Deming, Washington. This includes any and all communications and records regarding the public use of the gravel pit as a shooting range and any management actions, considerations, or planning done by the Department of Natural resources in regards to this use of public lands.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days as the statute requires.

Good afternoon,
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) received your public disclosure request on September 7, 2021. All identifiable records responsive to your request will be provided to you pursuant to Chapter 42.56 RCW. You requested the following:
* All records pertaining to the "North Fork Gravel Pit" off of the North Fork Road in Deming, Washington. This includes any and all communications and records regarding the public use of the gravel pit as a shooting range and any management actions, considerations, or planning done by the DNR in regards to this use of public lands.
Please be advised that, pursuant to RCW 42.56.120, DNR uses the default fee schedule. If DNR uses an outside vendor for the duplication service, the charge to you will be the cost charged by the vendor, plus the cost of shipping.
After speaking with DNR staff, we need clarification regarding your request. Based on the information you provided, there isn't a site called "North Fork Gravel Pit" and the Geologic Portal doesn't show any sites near or off North Fork Road. In the hopes of being efficient and get you the targeted information you are seeking, it would be helpful and would likely impact the response time, please provide further detail of the mine, such as a legal description (Section, Township, Range), permit number, permit holder's name, etc.
We are in the process of researching your request. We estimate the records will be available on or about October 6, 2021. If responsive records becomes available sooner, we will certainly forward them to you.
