Mr. Sirota –

I apologize we do have a couple clarification questions regarding paragraph #3 of your request. They are as follows:

1. Is Paragraph #3 a clarifying paragraph for categories #1 and #2? And not a third category of records you are seeking?

2. Can we exclude records that are merely forms with check boxes that may have the term pot, cannabis or marijuana in them?

3. Are you interpreting correspondence to be emails and letters?

4. Can we exclude records that merely mention the term pot, cannabis or marijuana that do discuss policy?

Please let us know right away, but not later than May 17, 2017. Thank you.

LaDona

LaDona:

To answer your questions:

1. Yes -- Paragraph #3 was meant to help focus the searches for you. So yes, it applies to the request.

2. Yes, you can exclude that.

3. Correspondence means emails, letters, memos, talking points, etc.

4. I'm looking for documents that talk about the state's marijuana policy and how it interacts with the federal government's enforcement of federal drug law. So I'd like whatever you can provide that deals with that general set of issues.
