Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am a reporter at WIRED looking for information about the agencies use of the software Covenant Eyes. I am specifically seeking:

- Records indicating the number of times where the software "Covenant Eyes" was prescribe to the offender as a monitoring service since January 2017
- Records that indicate the number of times an individual placed on Covenant Eyes's electronic monitoring violated the terms of their parole or had their bond revoked since 2017
- Any emails or written communications containing the phrase "covenant eyes" from January 2017 until the date this request is processed.
- Any emails or communications to and from representatives at the company Covenant Eyes. Responsive records should include those to and form any email address ending in "@covenanteyes.com" from January 2017 until the date this request is processed.
- Any internal memos, guidance, or presentations containing the phrase "Covenant Eyes" from January 2017 until the date this request is processed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I interpret your request to be for disclosure of the following records from the time frame of January 1, 2017, to May 22, 2023 (the day your request was received):

1. Records indicating the number of times where the software "Covenant Eyes" was assigned to a field offender as a monitoring service
2. Records that indicate the number of times a field offender with “Covenant Eyes” electronic monitoring violated the terms of their parole or had their bond revoked
3. Any emails or written communications containing the phrase "Covenant eyes"

4. Any internal memos, guidance, or presentations containing the phrase "Covenant Eyes"

Redactions have been made as appropriate per statute and are noted on the agency denial form/exemption log.  If you wish to appeal my decision for redacting or withholding information in part or whole, you may do so by submitting the Appeals form to: Public Disclosure Appeals Office; PO Box 41139; Olympia, WA 98504-1139.  Both the denial log and Appeals form have been uploaded to Gov.QA.
