To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:
Written and electronic communications (including but not limited to: letters, email, memos, position statements, meeting agendas and meeting minutes) regarding the Discover Pass public lands user fee.
I also request that, if possible, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com. Please fulfill the request electronically, by e-mail attachment if possible or CD-ROM if not, and let me know of any fees that will be assessed.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

You requested several categories of records related to the new Discover
Pass. The Discover Pass program is managed by the Washington State
Department of Fish & Wildlife (DFW).
The Department of Fish & Wildlife has the types of records you requested
related to user fees. The Department of Natural Resources does not have
the data you are requesting.
DFW information about the Pass is available on the website at
http://wdfw.wa.gov/ on the opening web page. They should be able to help
you with your records request.
