Pursuant to the District of Columbia Freedom of Information Act of 1974, D.C. Code Ann. § 2-531 et seq. ("D.C. Act"), I hereby request the following records:
On December 19, 2016, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released a report on the use of cell site simulators (It can be found at this link: https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/THE-FINAL-bipartisan-cell-site-simulator-report.pdf). Contained in the report, at footnotes 151, 152, and 164, letters from former chief Cathy Lanier to the Committee and a briefing by the Metropolitan Police Department to committee staff. Please disclose the materials sent to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, as well as any briefing materials prepared by MPD for its meeting with committee staf.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
