Longwood University's application to the Commission on Presidential Debates to host one of 2016's four general election debates.

Requested records include all documents or files, digital or otherwise, attached to or enclosed with the application.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

As of Dec. 16, 2015, Longwood University is in receipt of your FOIA request regarding the university’s application to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The university was closed from Dec. 19 through Dec. 30, making our response due to you on Jan. 8, 2016.

Because the information you requested is covered by several exemptions to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act—including 2.2-3705.2.4, 2.2-3705.2.6 and 2.2-3705.6.3—we will not be providing the requested documents.
