To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All emails and meeting minutes for members of a lethal injection protocol committee, or equivalent regulatory body, regarding the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present. If there is not a lethal injection protocol committee, then any and all meeting minutes and communications within the Department of Corrections that mention the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

For me to respond appropriately, your request must be narrowed. Requesting "any and all communications within the Department of Corrections that mention the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present" would require a canvassing of the entire department, past and present. This would take weeks if not months to complete and thousands of dollars. Please narrow your request to a more specific topic, a more specific group of people and/or a more specific timeframe. Thank you.

Okay, I would like any and all communications and meeting minutes within the Department of Corrections that mention the keywords "pentobarbital," "midazolam," "pancurium bromide," or "potassium chloride" from 2014 to present. If there exists a lethal injection protocol committee or equivalent regulatory body then my request may be limited to members of that group.
Is that request sufficiently narrow?
