Mr. Nash,
Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information Act request. Due to the
volume of requests and manpower constraints, it is not practical for the
agency to respond in the 5 days permitted under Virginia Freedom of
Information Act. You are hereby notified that, pursuant to §
2.2-3704(B)(4), the agency is entitled to, and here by asserts its right to
claim, seven work days in addition to the five provided for in §
2.2-3704(B) in which to provide one of the responses set forth in §
2.2-3704.

Thank you,

Katie Glasscock, FOIA Unit Supervisor

Mr. Nash,

Please find attached the file documents regarding correspondence between
this office and Mr. Heaphy in 2017 concerning a FOIA request, as requested.
There is no charge for these documents. Certain redactions were made for
the account number under 2.2-3706. Please be advised that a portion of the
responsive documents, namely the redacted documents sent to Mr. Heaphy and
referenced in the correspondence, were stored digitally. Unfortunately, the
medium containing the digital record has corrupted in the time since the
response to Mr. Heaphy in 2017. As such, the redacted version of the
records is not available.

Please be aware that all of the documents utilized to produce the redacted
record sent to Mr. Heaphy are still available in unredacted form. In order
to produce those records to you, the records will have be redacted once
again. This office is willing to redact the documents for you at no cost.
However, the nature of the redactions for the 2017 request was voluminous
and expended considerable manpower. As such, in order to produce the
documents in redacted form you will have to agree to a minimum of 4-6 weeks
time with an agreement for necessary extensions in advance. This time frame
is necessary to accommodate the current volume of FOIA related work and the
unfortunate delays caused by the coronavirus situation.

I appreciate your understanding in advance. Please advise if you agree to
the time frame referenced above and I will have staff begin work.

Sincerely,
