The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Stephan,
I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your records request received May 10, 2016. We are expediting a search to determine what records, if any, are responsive to the request and their status under Vermont law. I anticipate that it will take time to gather and review the records.
Below is a link to the University of Vermont Operating Procedure related to costs associated with records requests. I estimate that there will be time associated with collecting the data. I will provide you an estimate shortly. In addition, there will be cost associated with reproduction of the records. Please confirm that you wish me to proceed with the collection and reproduction of the records.
Please keep in mind that the Vermont Public Records Act does not oblige the University to create custom reports. Also, we reserve the prerogative to withhold particular records as allowed by law.

I enclose a copy of two records that meet your description. I have redacted certain portions of one of the records. Those redactions are allowed by Vermont Public Records Act exemption 317(c)(7), which personal records.
As set forth in section 318(a), you may appeal to the University's President my determination that some of the records you requested are exempt from disclosure. The President's name is Thomas Sullivan, and his address is 349 Waterman, University of Vermont, Burlington, VT 05405
