From: Darlene DiPierro

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. a dataset (as either .xlsx or .csv file types) of all calls for service (CFS) made during the period of 01/01/2015 until the current year-to-date, with at least the following information included: class (ie. CFS type), incident number/code, crime, date, time, location, and address.
2. any necessary code book for understanding the meaning of the CFS class/type (if not the classes/types are not self-explanatory)

I imagine this dataset already exists but is simply not displayed on the Ventura Police Department's website due to sheer volume. Some CFS data is already partially displayed for public use via the Community Crime Map data grid tab (https://communitycrimemap.com/; see attachment for a screenshot of how the data is displayed). However, the Ventura Police Department's webpage indicates that only 27 of the 107 total types of CFS are included in the Crime Map (https://www.cityofventura.ca.gov/1052/Arrest-Log-Interactive-Crime-Map). I am therefore requesting information for all 107 CFS types from the past five years.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment or WeTransfer protocol if available or USB stick if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Darlene DiPierro
