In response to your request for information regarding Utah's database
regarding maternal deaths: Until 2014, Utah used an access database to
collect information on maternal deaths. The variables in this database are
listed in the attached Excel document.
In 2015, we began using the Maternal Mortality Review Information
Application. This is a system developed by the CDC and a data dictionary
for the application is available on-line via this link:
