with the above mentioned incorporation? if not, what kind of services do

Thank you for your clarifications. We are going to need additional time to
respond to this request. There will very likely be associated costs to this
request. Davis County Information Systems department has to search and pull
electronic communications which takes significant time. Would you like me
to contact you with an estimate before we proceed?

Mr. Harris -
Thank you for your response. I don't know the scope of the records at this
point. This will take some work from our Information Systems department to
look at electronic communications so we will need additional time to
respond and I did not want to begin that process without notifying you of
the cost.

I have one additional clarification, do you mean the County Attorney's
Office?

By my count I will start the 10 day deadline from the time I received your
most recent response which puts the deadline for a response at Jan 30,
2018. I will notify you as soon as possible of any costs associated with
the request as well as a response date should it be later than Jan 30.

Good morning Mr. Harris -
Davis County does not have a District Attorney's Office. Only a County.

I wanted to notify you the cost estimate we were able to calculate and find
out if you would like us to continue with the search. This is only an
initial estimate and could change if the search by the Information Systems
department takes longer than anticipated. We do find that we get rather
close on the estimate though. We anticipate the cost for $107.52.

Mr. Harris -
No, it is not our practice to charge if no responsive records are found. in
fact, as a general practice we try not to charge for records requests.
However, the staff time associated with these types of requests,
specifically the email correspondence, is extensive. Hence the charge. The
statute we work under for fees is Utah Code Ann. § 63G-2-203.

Mr. Harris -
I have been working through your request with the Davis County Attorney's
Office while waiting for your go ahead on the email search preformed by our
Information Systems department.
Our County Attorney, Troy Rawlings, and I wonder if it would be helpful to
speak with him before we go any further. He indicated that we are not
currently using the EyeDetect system and that he'd be happy to talk with
you about that. We thought that might be an avenue you'd like to explore
before we go down the road of initiating the search.

Please call me at your earliest convenience and we can discuss how you'd
like to proceed.
