To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I'm looking for the Office of Strategic Services personnel records of my great-uncle William Lumetta (rank: Technician Fifth Class/T-5 and Serial: 32769249). I know that he was drafted into the war (as were 3 of his other brothers) and volunteered for the 101st Airborne until his CO found out he spoke Sicilian, then he was approached by a man named Max Corvo and recruited and dropped into Sicily at some point.

I'm looking for:

- His complete (and preferably un-redacted) personnel file released. With picture of his OSS identification card.
- Any awards won.
- Service records, when and where stationed (it would be all Sicily).
- Pretty much anything you can get on his time in Italy and in the OSS.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Paul Henning
