This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I would like copies of all tweets deleted by the @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This would include any tweets sent out on Twitter that were deleted or kept in draft form from the Twitter accounts of @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This request also would include copies of any e-mails or correspondence regarding the deletion of these tweets.

I am specifically asking for deleted tweets from the White House's account (@WhiteHouse) from April 2009 onwards, from President Barack Obama's account (@POTUS) from June 2013 onwards, and from First Lady Michelle Obama's account (@FLOTUS) from January 2013 onwards.

In order to clarify the scope of the request, please include all cross-references. Please do not limit the search to agency-originated records.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Ms. McCammon:
This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated December 15, 2016. Your request was assigned FOIAonline tracking number NARA-NGC-2017-000140, and the above internal tracking number.  In your request, you stated that you are seeking copies of, “tweets deleted by the @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This would include any tweets sent out on Twitter that were deleted or kept in draft form from the Twitter accounts of @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This request also would include copies of any e-mails or correspondence regarding the deletion of these tweets. I am specifically asking for deleted tweets from the White House's account (@WhiteHouse) from April 2009 onwards, from President Barack Obama's account (@POTUS) from June 2013 onwards, and from First Lady Michelle Obama's account (@FLOTUS) from January 2013 onwards. In order to clarify the scope of the request, please include all cross-references,” within the legal holdings of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
Unfortunately, we do not maintain the documents you are requesting.  Please note that the records of the current President of the United States are not subject to the FOIA until five years after the transfer of that administration’s records to NARA in accordance with the Presidential Records Act.  This completes the processing of your request.
