This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All records of communication between the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of the Solicitor and the White House concerning any Freedom of Information Act request between January 20, 2009 and the date this request is processed. These records should include, not not be limited to, the records of Edward Keable.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION APPEAL
Dear Appeals Officer:
This is an appeal under the Freedom of Information Act.
On April 11, 2014, I requested the following under the FOIA via a request to the Department of Interior, Office of the Solicitor:
"All records of communication between the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of the Solicitor and the White House concerning any Freedom of Information Act request between January 20, 2009 and the date this request is processed. These records should include, not not be limited to, the records of Edward Keable."
The statutory deadline to comply with the request has been exceeded. I appeal the constructive denial of my request for these records.
Further, as part of the 2007 amendments to the Freedom of Information Act, the fees billable in cases where a statutory deadline has been missed, as is the case with this request, are limited. Please follow the correct fee schedule for requests where a statutory deadline has been missed.

provides that the Office of the Solicitor release to MuckRock News (1)
communication between the Office of the Solicitor and the White House

and the date this request is processed, and (2) if those communications
contain attachments, only the attachments that have been made public. Can
you please confirm that this is your understanding?
