This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Please provide any and all correspondence between top level administrators at the Department of Energy, including Steven Chu, and Van Jones of the Center for American Progress and Green For All. Meeting notes, sign in information, phone records, and any documents on get togethers, planned or otherwise, should be included.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I am processing a FOIA request that you sent in to the Department of Energy (DOE) requesting any and all correspondence between top level administrators at DOE, including Steven Chu and Van Jones of the Center for American Progress and Green for All. Would you like to narrow your request to receive any and all correspondence that's found in the Electronic Document Online Correspondence and Concurrence System of the Office of the Executive Secretariat. This system tracks all correspondence to and from the Offices of the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Under Secretaries of Energy, and is where records of correspondence are likely to be found.

The search of the correspondence system has been completed and the list has been printed. It shouldn't take much longer to go through the list and identify, if any, records that are responsive to your request. If any records are found to be responsive to your request, they will have to be reviewed by the General Counsel's office for determination regarding releasabilty.
