From: Carlotta T

This letter constitutes an administrative appeal under the Freedom of Information Act, 5. U.S.C. Sec. 552(a)(6).

I am writing to appeal the determination by the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) with regard to my FOIA request ( 2016-F-63 ), filed on May 28, 2016, for “any and all the records mentioning ‘thimarafushi’ or ‘kudahuvadhoo’ relative to the period from March 7, 2014 to March 10, 2014”. The final response was no “responsive documents”.

I appeal because I strain credulity that the PACOM doesn’t have responsive documents about a widely publicized investigation.

According to PACOM official website, Maldives is included inside the Area of Responsibility.
http://www.pacom.mil/AboutUSPACOM/USPACOMAreaofResponsibility.aspx

Reports by numerous witnesses in Kudahuvadhoo were widely reported by the media.

Also, according to official press releases released in 2014, PACOM collaborated in searching MH370.

I look forward to receiving your decision on this appeal within the 20-day statutory time limit. If you have any questions, or believe discussion of this matter would be beneficial, please contact me directly at carlotta.tatti@gmail.com
