RE: Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request No. 2015USMS27609
The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is responding to your request for a copy of the contractual agreements and modifications between the USMS and the Karnes County Correctional Facility.
Pursuant to your request, the USMS conducted a search of its files and located Intergovernmental Service Agreements (IGAs) between the USMS and the Karnes County Correctional Facility. We have determined to grant you access to this(se) IGA(s), except for information which is exempt from disclosure pursuant to exemptions (b)(7)(E) of the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. 552(b). Enclosed is a copy of this IGA, consisting of twenty-seven (27) pages.
Exemption 7E protects records or information that would disclose techniques and procedures for law enforcement investigation or prosecutions, or would disclose guidelines for law enforcement investigations or prosecutions if such disclosure could reasonably be expected to risk circumvention of the law.
If you are dissatisfied with my action on this request, you may appeal this partial denial within 60 days of the date of this letter by writing to the Director, Office of Information and Privacy, United States Department of Justice, Flag Building, Suite 570, Washington, D.C. 20530.
Both the letter and the envelope should be clearly marked “Freedom of Information Act Appeal.” In the event you are dissatisfied with the results of any such appeal, judicial review will thereafter be available to you in the United States District Court for the judicial district in which you reside or have your principal place of business, or in the District of Columbia.
For your information, Congress excluded three discrete categories of law enforcement and national security records from the requirements of the FOIA. See 5 U.S.C. § 552(c ) (2006), & Supp. IV (2010). This response is limited to those records that are subject to the requirements of the FOIA. This is a standard notification that is given to all our requesters and should not be taken as an indication that excluded records do, or do not, exist.

Hello Mr. Bordley,
I'd like to clarify this request. Your response to 2015USMS27609 was the contractual agreements and modifications between the USMS and the Karnes County Correctional Facility for business between those two entities. This request is different than 2015USMS27610, which was for contractual agreements and IGAs between the U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement in regards to activities at Karnes County Correctional Facility.
Thank you very much for your help,
You receive d the Karnes county as well.
