This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
The following materials related to the discussion of operations under Contract Number ODT-8-C-0004 (GEO Group):
- All contractor notifications regarding requests made by a member of the United States Congress or the media for information or requests to visit the facility (Lines 23-24, C10), as well as notifications made regarding inmate inquiries or other related matters (Lines 30-31, C10) and notifications made due to the belief that information was released (Lines 31-33, C10)
- All press statements and releases submitted by the Contractor for approval by the COTR (Lines 25-26, C10)
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Requester:
The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is responding to your request for “All contractor notifications regarding requests made by a member of the United States Congress or the media for information or requests to visit the facility (Lines 23-24, C10), as well as notifications made regarding inmate inquiries or other related matters (Lines 30-31, C10) and notifications made due to the belief that information was released (Lines 31-33, C10)

Pursuant to your request, the USMS conducted a search of records in the Headquarters Prisoner Operations Division, Office of Congressional Affairs, Office of Public Affairs, and Eastern District of New York and located no records responsive to your request.
If you are dissatisfied with my action on this request, you may appeal by writing to the Director, Office of Information Policy, United States Department of Justice, Suite 11050, 1425 New York Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20530-0001. Your appeal must be received within 60 days of the date of this letter. Both the letter and the envelope should be clearly marked “Freedom of Information/ Privacy Act Appeal.” In the event you are dissatisfied with the results of any such appeal, judicial review will thereafter be available to you in the United States District Court for the judicial district in which you reside or have your principal place of business, or in the District of Columbia.
For your information, Congress excluded three discrete categories of law enforcement and national security records from the requirements of the FOIA. See 5 U.S.C. § 552(c ) (2006), & Supp. IV (2010). This response is limited to those records that are subject to the requirements of the FOIA. This is a standard notification that is given to all our requesters and should not be taken as an indication that excluded records do, or do not, exist.
