I am the FOIA officer at the United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). Your FOIA request has been forwarded to me to determine if we have any responsive records for "administrative case files for use of Yersinia pestis bacilli (formerly Pasteurella pestis), Y. pestis bacilli, pneumonic plague, bubonic plague, Time frame: December 1948 to January 1961." You noted in your request that you believe this request is in the public interest.
A proper FOIA request is both file related, which includes the subject area, and event-related, which includes the circumstances that resulted in the record being created. It is requested that you please reformulate your request by identifying the subject area being sought: that you narrow the scope of your request by reasonably describing the type administrative case files being sought.
No further action will be taken until we receive your response.
